Colony to Charter: Kappa Lambda

MP4

ATO National Headquarters had the privilege to charter its newest chapter at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan.

The men of Kappa Lambda and their guests showed up for the ceremonial chartering on the campus of Grand Valley State on Saturday, September 26, 2009.  Later that evening, a banquet was held for the chapter, and Grant Lyon, the Colony President, was ceremonial pinned by Wynn Smiley, Chief Executive Officer of the National Fraternity.

For the brothers of Kappa Lambda, receiving their charter was an uplifting experience.  So much so that most of the men struggled to find the words to describe it, but these brothers exhibit an undying passion and excitement for ATO.  When asked to describe his best ATO experience, Caleb James put it, "I can't put it into just 'my best ATO experience' because ATO is the best experience that I've had in my life."

"It's kind of hard to put into words" said Grant Lyon.  "It's an unbelievable experience that we went through today...It is an honor to be an ATO and to be an official Brother.  It's something that I'm never going to forget for the rest of my life."
