Colony to Chapter: Epsilon Sigma

ATO National Headquarters welcomed back the Epsilon Sigma chapter at Florida State University Saturday, January 16, 2010.

Chartering with 53 members and a 3.295 GPA, the new brothers at Florida State could hardly contain their excitement as they, along with their guests, gathered into the dining hall for a banquet celebrating the newly re-established chapter.

"I'm just in utter disbelief that it finally came and that all of our hard work paid off," said Cody Bertoglio, Florida State ‘10.

The banquet gave members a chance to reflect on the journey to this point and how it has impacted them. "The biggest thing I've learned from this process would be leadership. I really learned what it takes to lead," said Robbie Clarke, Florida State ’10.

Having already earned an esteemed position within FSU Greek-life as a colony, the men expect great things from themselves as a chapter. As a colony they achieved the top GPA of all Fraternities on campus and a Homecoming Cup Championship. Now as a chapter they have continued with a strong spring recruitment bringing their numbers to 70. This brotherhood definitely has a bright future at Florida State, and, judging from the enormous amount of alumni support, that brotherhood will extend beyond the borders of their college careers. "Having brothers for life … that's what ATO is built on - brotherhood for life," said Bertoglio.
