Arkansas Tech Charters with 42 in Russellville

On Saturday, November 12, 2011, the Alpha Tau Omega National Fraternity chartered the Kappa Nu chapter at Arkansas Tech University.

After colonizing on February 22, 2010, the recruitment efforts of the colony’s Founding Fathers paid off as 42 men were initiated into America's Leadership Development Fraternity.

"I have this opportunity to make this my own, make it a place where I can develop and help others,” said New Member Educator Zach Evans, Arkansas Tech ’11.

The chartering of Kappa Nu at Arkansas Tech in Russellville, Ark. is a first for ATO. Expanding at a totally new campus was a challenge that these Founding Fathers met with great success. Prior to initiation Kappa Nu held a 3.38 cumulative GPA, the highest among all Greek organizations at Arkansas Tech.

"Colony to present, I’ve learned so many leadership skills," said Chapter President Dustin Williams, Arkansas Tech ’11. "ATO has given me the passion to try and give my best with everything I have. ATO has instilled very strong principles.”

To receive updates from the newly formed Kappa Nu chapter, follow them on Facebook and Twitter. Photos from the Arkansas Tech chartering are available on the ATONHQ Flickr stream
