The Northern Kentucky University Alpha Tau Omega fraternity will host
its 19th annual Basketball Marathon in support of St. Elizabeth’s
Center for Breast Health from 4 p.m. to midnight Saturday, March 20 at
the NKU
Campus Recreation Center.
The
event will feature a co-ed tournament starting at 5 p.m. and a men’s
tournament starting at 8 p.m. The format for both tournaments will
be three-on-three with four people to a team. There must be at least
two females on the court at all times during the co-ed games.
The
cost to participate is $40 per team and all proceeds will go to benefit
the Womens Wellness Breast Center at St. Elizabeth Edgewood. Anyone who
wishes to form a team may do so.
Every year the tournament helps
a similar cause. In 2008, the proceeds went to St Luke's Breast Health
Center, while last year's tournament benefited the American Cancer
Society.
