Elmhurst, IL --
The Theta Mu Board of Trustees and the Officers of Theta Mu convened Saturday, July 7th from 10am-5pm in the Lucks Conference Room at Elmhurst College for a goal setting retreat for the upcoming Fall semester. The retreat was organized by Kyle Zake, Vice President of the Board and had seven other Board of Trustees (BOT) members in attendance. Zake moderated the event which allowed for 20 minutes of presentation time for each office. Each Officer and his BOT counterpart gave attainable goals and deadlines for the upcoming semester. A discussion period followed with suggestions and comments coming from both Actives and Alumni.
The Chapter would like to thank the following BOT members for their time and effort: Kyle Zake, Tyson Johnson, Joe Malatia, Dan Wallace, Joe Spedale, Chirs Young, Kevin Rocio, and Chuck Canfield. The Chapter looks forward to continuing to forge a positive relationship with the BOT. The shared desire for a successful ATO chapter at Elmhurst College left the Chapter motivated for the upcoming semester.
"Do something that will outlast you," said Zake to kick off the retreat.
Zake concluded the retreat with a message about True Merit. "Tue merit is giving to another, not out of convenience, but out of the desire to serve mankind," added Zake.
The Board and Chapter will continue to correspond before the upcoming semester to solidify the goals of each Officer and the Chapter as a whole.
