Chartering at Georgia College and State University

On April 1st, the National Fraternity initiated 82 men at the installation of the Kappa Omega chapter at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, GA.

Kappa Omega colonized March 14th, 2016. The colony recorded a cumulative 3.15 GPA and was actively involved on campus and in the community, recording over 760 man-hours of community service.

“I’m just so excited about bringing this organization to campus,” said Dean of Students Dr. Andy Lewter, UT Martin ’91. “It’s been a part of my life as an ATO member when I was an undergrad, and now to have it on this campus, it’s just a wonderful experience."

“Since colonization, the colony has continuously surprised me with their desire to just be different" added Stacey Milner, GCSU Assistant Director for Fraternity and Sorority Life. "These gentlemen have been a great demonstration to prospective students of what a fraternity man at Georgia College looks like."

The chapter now has its sights set high for the future.

“Over the past 13 months, it’s been quite the journey,” said chapter president Garrett Poillucci, Georgia College '17. “Getting that charter made it all worth it."
