On Sept. 25, the Gamma Zeta chapter at the University of Illinois hosted its first Feed My Children MobilePack signature event. The event saw more than 500 volunteers show up for more than four hours of packing meals. The chapter raised $25,000 to host the event which helped provide 100,000 meals for starving children.
When I was eleven, I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, TX. I battled for several years before my chemotherapy regimen ended, and I still go back once a year for checkups.
On Sept. 3, the National Fraternity initiated 30 men at the installation of the Kappa Phi chapter at Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, IL.

The Kappa Beta chapter at Troy University took home the 2016 Top Chapter Award on Aug. 6 at the Final Awards Banquet of ATO’s 82nd Biennial Congress in Charlotte, N.C. The chapter also took home its ninth straight True Merit Bowl.
Kyle Stepp, New Mexico ’13, is the 2016 Thomas Arkle Clark Honoree. Stepp officially received the award and delivered his acceptance speech in front of a crowd of more than 300 Taus at the Final Awards Banquet of ATO’s 82nd biennial congress on Aug. 6.
John B. Marion IV, Florida ’77, was named the 2016 National President Award winner on Aug. 6 at the Final Awards Banquet of ATO’s 82nd Biennial Congress in Charlotte, N.C. Marion, helped revive the Alpha Omega chapter at the University of Florida several years ago as a member of the Board of Trustees. His continued efforts with the chapter have helped them gain notoriety as UF’s top chapter on campus.
On April 22, the Kappa Alpha chapter at the University of Texas at Arlington hosted its fourth annual Crawfest. The event saw more than 250 attendees come out for a day of crawfish, live bands, inflatables and carnival games. All proceeds went to Wipe Out Kids' Cancer (WOKC) — a Dallas-based non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds and awareness for pediatric cancer research.
I’ve had incredible opportunities to be involved with many organizations throughout my time at Auburn University, but there are two that have specifically impacted me the most — serving as president of the Freshman Leadership Program and volunteering in the Cancer Center at the East Alabama Medical Center.
